On Feb. 4, the Plevna High School basketball teams hosted the Terry Terriers for an eventful night of basketball. To begin the night, the JV boys’ team came out and played a hard and fast-paced game. Leading the score board we found Bret Edgell with 7 points, Cooper Peterson with 4 points, and Nick Buerkle putting in 2 points. Sadly, the boys were not able to pull off the win with the final score being Plevna 13 and Terry 47.

On Feb. 6, the Plevna High School basketball teams faced off against the Melstone Broncs at home. The night began with the JV boys playing a very eventful game. Cooper Peterson leading the scoreboard had 12 points, Seth Carroll tipped in 4 points, both Nick Buerkle and Bret Edgell each put in 3-point shot, and Hadyn Mellon put in 2 points. Hadyn Mellon was 2/2 on his free throws and Cooper Peterson was 6/9. When the final buzzer rang, the scoreboard read Plevna 24 Melstone 66.

On Feb. 8, the Plevna basketball teams loaded the bus to travel to Busby where they played the Northern Cheyenne Eagles. Upon their arrival, the boys’ team came out and played a very fast paced and hard fought game. Having the most points of the night was Seth Carroll with 12, Bret Edgell with 11, Hayden Mellon put in 10, one of his shots being a 3-pointer. Cooper Peterson had 7 points, and Nick Buerkle knocked in one 3- pointer. Seth Carroll was 4/4 in his free throws. At the end of the game, the scoreboard read Plevna 43 Northern Cheyenne 86.
