The Spartan boys basketball teams travelled to Miles City on Feb. 11 to face off against the Custer County Cowboys. This was a tough night for the boys, as all three squads suffered losses to the Cowboys.

In the C-Squad match-up, the Spartans fell to the Cowboys with a score of 24 to 68. Ethan Gundlach was the high point scorer for the Spartans, ending the night with 8 points and Nathan Schallenberger put in 6 points for his team and. Bryant O’Connor put in 5 points for the Spartans. Rory Lingle and Guy Lesh each scored 2 points. Jonathan Reetz completed the scoring for the Spartans with 1 point.

In the JV game, the final score was 37-66 in favor of the Cowboys. High point man for the Spartans was Garrett Lesh with 10 points. Nathan Schallenberger was next in scoring, with a total of 8 points. Jory Miller and Logan Graham tied with 6 points each. Ethan Gundlach had 3 points. Jaxson Tronstad and Guy Lesh finished the evening with 2 points each.

The boys Varsity team had a tough time trying to stay up with the Cowboys; they faced a particularly difficult 3rd quarter where they were outscored 21-5. The final score was Baker 40 and the Cowboys 69. High point man for the Spartans was Caleb Ploeger with 9. Teight Madler and Jaxson Tronstad each scored 8 points. Jacob Wang put in 6 for the Spartans and Konnor Flint scored 4 points. Trent Collins and Garrett Lesh each scored 2 points. Jory Miller had 1 point for the evening.
