The Baker Lady Spartans basketball teams saw some good action when they hosted the Miles City Cowgirls at McGonigal Gymnasium on Feb. 11.

The C-Squad only played one half of a game and lost 17-18. The Lady Spartans were outscored 10-15 in the first quarter, but dominated the Cowgirls in the second quarter 7-3. High point honors for the C-Squad game go to Eve Uecker, who finished with 9 points. Hallie Flint and Kendall Shepherd tied with 3 points each. Finishing out the scoring for the Spartans was Makala Gallegos with 2 points.

The JV Lady Spartans pulled off a victory with a final score of 52-51. Eve Uecker claimed high point honors once again, with 15 points. Next was Sophia Dulin, who put in 10 points for the Spartans. Harlee Graham finished with 7 points overall. Ashlyn Lutts and Rilee Pettersen each scored 4 points. Anika Ploeger contributed 3 points. Four Lady Spartans scored 2 points each: Rilee Pettersen, Emily Shumaker, McKenna Griffith and Kendall Shepherd. Hallie Flint scored 1 point for the Spartans.

The Lady Spartan varsity team had a close matchup with the Cowgirls, but were able to come away with a victory with a final score of 38-35. Anika Ploeger led the Spartans in scoring, with 9 points. Halle Burdick followed close behind with 8 points. Emily Shumaker and Harlee Graham both put in 6 points for the Spartans. Shelby Moore added in 3 points for the Spartans’ win. Macee Hadley, Rilee Pettersen and McKenna Griffith ended the night with 2 points each to help propel the Spartans to a win.
