On Oct. 9, the Baker Spartans attempted to protect their home turf against the Shepherd Mustangs for the Homecoming game. Audience members proudly displayed Spartan pride. Unfortunately, the game resulted in a Spartan loss with a final score of 6-30. Although the game did not turn out as hoped, the Spartans played hard and did not give up. The team was unable to answer in the first half and third quarter, but managed to pull off a touchdown during the fourth quarter.

On offense, the Spartans had 30/111 yards rushing, and Avery Uecker was 17/87 yards. For receiving, the team was 14/130 yards. Garrett Lesh was 6/62 yards and Avery Uecker 6/52 yards. Avery Uecker scored on a three yard run, but the PAT pass was unsuccessful.

Defensively for tackles, Guy Lesh had 6, Avery Uecker had 6, and Bruce Higbee had 6. Garrett Lesh and Hawken Custer both had 1 sack each. For fumble receives, Hawken Custer had 1 and Tarin DeGrand also had 1.

The Spartans will face off against the Poplar Indians on Friday, Oc. 16 and will host the rescheduled Wolf Point game the following Monday, Oct. 19.
