The girls basketball team traveled to Beach on Jan. 23. The varsity team had an exciting win for the weekend finishing the game with a score of 60-53. Sadly, the JV team was not as successful and had a hard fight ultimately ending with a loss with a final score of 29-44.

Baker girls varsity

Anika Ploeger and Emily Shumaker were high scorers for the game, both bringing in 16 points for the team. Anika also had 12 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Emily added 3 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 assist. Peyton Janeway came in next contributing 12 points, 2 steals, 2 assists and 1 rebound. Mya Hadley brought 10 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists. Eve Uecker helped with 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. McKenna Griffith had 1 point, 2 steals, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Harlee Graham had 1 point, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Alex Williams had 2 rebounds.

Mallory Varner led in stats for the game with 7 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals and 1 assist. Makala Gallegos helped out her team as well with 6 points, 5 steals and 4 rebounds. Saraya Afrank brought 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Kendall Shepherd had 3 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Briley Gorder had 2 points and 6 rebounds. Jessica Stark had 2 points, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Karissa Afrank had 2 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Tyaisha Dietz added 2 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals. Carlee Gundlach had 1 point, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. Faith Hansen had 3 rebounds and 1 assist.
