The Lady Spartans finished out a very hard-fought and memorable season this past March 2.

It was sadly not the intended outcome that these ladies hoped for entering into the Divisional Tournament, and unfortunately they lost out of the competition after their game against the Joliet J-Hawks.

These ladies played extremely hard in this first game at the Billings First Interstate Arena, but ultimately Joliet pushed back and was ready to put up their best fight to stay in the tournament. The final score of the game was 59 to 39, Joliet with the win for the play-in round.

Anika Ploeger led in points for this game with 13, along with 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal. Emily Shumaker came in next with 9 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Peyton Janeway contributed to the game with 7 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Mya Hadley added 6 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Harlee Graham had 3 points, 6 rebounds and 1 steal. Eve Uecker had 1 point, 4 rebounds and 1 assist. McKenna Griffith had 1 rebound and 1 steal. Makala Gallegos and Kaytlynn Gaub both had 1 rebound for the game.

All of these ladies should be extremely proud of their successes this season and we congratulate them on making it to compete at the Divisional Tournament, which hasn’t happened for many years here at BHS!
