Baker High School Business Instructor and BPA co-adviser Lynn Beach recently received some very exciting news. Will Rost, a student in her Computer Certification class, took the Microsoft Office Suite Word Certiport exam this year and his scores were submitted to determine if he would qualify for the National Championship. The answer was a resounding YES - Will was named Montana’s MOS-Word Champion and was selected to compete in Certiport’s Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship.

This is very exciting news, especially so because it is the first time that a student from Baker has earned this award. Unfortunately because of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting travel restrictions, the 2020 U.S. National Championship has been cancelled. However, Will has been invited to the 2021 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, FL, June 21-23, 2021. If Will is able to attend, he will compete against other students from across the US to earn further awards and recognition. Congratulations Will - we are all so very proud of you!
