The students in Mrs. Tunby’s first grade class recently had the chance to learn right beside their teacher....well, sort of. Mrs. Tunby based this lesson on the children’s book Flat Stanley. In this book, children are encouraged to share letters and stories of where they have taken the character Flat Stanley. After Mrs. Tunby mailed herself to all the students, the fun began! So far Mrs. Tunby has spent time with her students playing outside, riding on the back of a pig and checking cows, exploring the wonderous sights of nature, and even being read to by a student.  Stay tuned for more adventures with Flat Stanley...errrr..Mrs. Tunby!
