On March 10, Senator Daines skyped with the 2020 Montana Teacher of the Year Linda Rost’s students at Baker High School!

In a very special opportunity, several groups of students from Linda’s class presented a problem they saw in their community or state, developed a strategy to solve that problem and then asked Senator Daines for his input and help as well!

Some of the topics discussed were:

1. Access to recycling in rural areas

2. Bullying in schools

3. Access to mental health services in rural regions

4. Concerns about the COVID-19

Senator Daines also shared his experiences on the hill as well as some stories of his Montana roots with Linda’s students.
