The Lady Spartan tennis players hosted Miles City and Forsyth at home on April 1, for their first meet of the season. It was a great sunny day to start off the spring season, other than a few strong wind gusts, as to be expected here in Eastern Montana. There were 16 singles matches and 5 doubles matches for the competition.

Singles vs Forsyth

Mercedes Runfola faced Savannah McMillian and won 6-1. Teja Dietz first went against Racquel Coates and won 6-0. Teja then faced Esther Latta and won 8-7. Tai Setinc played Lailah Beyl and won 8-7. Kylee Janz faced Ester Latta and won 8-5. Kacee Moore went against Jaileigh Hlad and won 8-6. Kaytlynn Gaub faced Ashley Fraker losing 5-8. Carlee Gundlach played Daley Pinkerton and lost 1-6.

Doubles vs Forsyth

Paiton Graham/Sayge Barkley played Ashley Fraker/Lailah Beyl and won 8-2. Karissa Afrank/Cayla Duka faced Daley Pinkerton/Racquel Coates winning 8-4. Mercedes Runfola/Havyn Wilkinson played against Jaileigh Hlad/Savannah McMillian losing 2-6.

Singles vs Miles City

Teja Dietz faced Hallie Walley and won 6-0, claiming the only singles match win for the day against Miles City! Kylee Janz went against Erin Doran losing closely 6-8. Karissa Afrank played Alena Dighans with a close loss of 5-6. Tai Setinc played Emily Doughty losing 4-8. Kaytlynn Gaub was defeated by Bryn Coffin with a score of 0-8. Cayla Duke faced Jenna Watts losing 3-8. Carlee Gundlach took on Kailey Brimmer and lost 0-6. Kacee Moore faced Rayna Ponessa and lost 0-8.

Doubles vs Miles City

Mercedes Runfola/Havyn Wilkinson faced Hannah/Trinity winning 6-1. Paiton Graham/Sayge Barkley played against Grace Gundlach/Bryn Coffin with a close score of 6-8.
