The BHS golf team hosted the Baker Invitational meet at the Lakeview Country Club on April 30. This tournament consisted of 69 golfers from the nine teams including Colstrip, Broadus, Wibaux, Forsyth, Fairview, Huntley Project, Lame Deer, Bowman (ND) and Baker.
The Spartan boy’s team again successfully dominated this meet, taking first place in the team competition with a score of 335. Second place was awarded to Forsyth boys with a score of 382 and 3rd place went to Huntley Project boys with a score of 389. Jaxson Tronstad took the lead in swings, with a score of 78 and placed 1st in the meet. Konner Flint placed 2nd and ended his game with 83 points. Colin Lorbiecke took 4th, with a score of 85. Rory Lingle placed 6th with a score of 89. Jory Miller tied for 9th with a score of 94. For the JV Boys team, Caleb Rost ended with 105, Bryant O’Connor received a score of 112, Walker Hadley scored 121 points, and Tuf Ranum completed with 144.
The Lady Spartan golfers enjoyed participating in this home tournament as well. Camryn Collins excelled once again, taking first place for the girls in the tournament with a score of 87. Mya Hadley also participated and received a score of 186. The winning girl teams for the Baker Invitational were Broadus as 1st, with a team score of 419. Bowman placed 2nd for girls, with a score of 441, and Huntley Project placed 3rd for girls with a score of 482. Good job to all the teams and Baker players who had the opportunity to prove their skills at this home meet!
