Mrs. Oberlander’s second grade has recently been learning about how plants transfer water and nutrients. Following the lesson, the students performed an experiment to show what they had learned. They were tasked with putting a piece of celery in water colored with food dye. The students then had to wait 24 hours to see their results. When they returned the next morning, they found that the celery had taken in the food dye and changed colors!
