Mrs. Oberlander’s second grade class recently completed a report and project on the planets in our Solar System.

Each student chose a planet and then researched their chosen planet. Following their research, the students put together a presentation of their knowledge and sculpted a clay model of their planet.

When the clay had hardened, the students put the finishing touches on their project by painting them.

Mason Lai chose to research Mercury, while Kellan Knuths completed his project on the planet Venus. Emory Rieger created a model of Earth, and Alan Wiedmer researched Mars. Weston Robertus presented his project on Jupiter, and Brynn Buerkle presented hers on Saturn. First grader, Braxton MacKay, also joined the second graders with his research on Uranus.

The students enjoyed learning interesting facts about our planets and were excited to display their projects!
