January 11, the second grade students arrived to Mrs. Oberlander’s class to find a delicious surprise! Waiting there for them were American pancakes and Dutch Babies, both of which the students enjoyed very much. This exciting breakfast was a reward for their hard work and dedication in finishing their Nate the Great unit. The students devoured the treats, and with full stomachs brainstormed adjectives for the taste and smell of each type. Later, they wrote compare and contrast paragraphs along with diamante poems about their favorite pancakes. Great job Second graders, we are proud of your hard work and happy to see you enjoying your success!
