Mrs. Oberlander’s second grade has kept busy working on a myriad of Christmas projects. The students began with designing and creating gifts for their parents. The students followed this project with two other projects, which incorporated reindeer. First, the students each sketched and painted a reindeer and then wrote a story about a goofy reindeer. Next, the students drew and colored a reindeer and created help wanted ads to post outside of the classroom. A few examples of some reindeer job openings included shop cleaner, sled puller, and jingle bell keeper. Following their artwork, the students learned many interesting facts about reindeer. The students are excited to present their parents with their gifts and enjoyed drawing and learning about reindeer.
