The Plevna FFA Officer team met on Feb. 2 to discuss activities in February as well as the chapter meeting on Feb. 9.

The group decided to tackle the agenda for the meeting first.

For old business the chapter will be discussing January’s Harvest of the Month, the January FFA Districts, the Joint Livestock Committee meeting, the chapter picture, and decorations the officers put on the town signs. For new business, the chapter will need to talk about February’s Harvest of the Month, District competitions on Feb. 15, decorating the signs outside of town, and FFA Week. The activity at the end of the meeting will be a Jeopardy Meat Judging competition. Next up for the officers, was planning FFA Week which is Feb. 22 through Feb. 26. On Monday, the officers will decorate the school at 6:45, tape FFA signs on the lockers, and pass out Bingo cards to the elementary teachers. Chloe Tudor and Dacy Buerkle will spend Tuesday speaking to the junior high students about agricultural advocacy. Jenna and Jaeda Paul will be putting together a petting zoo on Thursday for children to attend during Parent/Teacher Conferences. On Friday, students will be spreading the FFA colors by wearing blue and gold. There will be a prize awarded to the student who goes all out with their outfit. Every day, the officers will do announcements over the loud speakers. FFA fun facts and bingo clues for the elementary will be given out over announcements. The officers are excited for the month’s activities!
