On Dec. 8th, President, Dacy Buerkle, called to order the fourth meeting of the Plevna FFA Chapter. Jaeda Paul read the minutes from the previous meeting, and they were approved as correct by the chapter.

For old business, Sophia Schumacher congratulated everybody who competed at JDAE. Dacy reminded everyone to wear masks and gloves when delivering their MinnTex meat and cheese sales. Maddi Butori notified everybody that the teachers greatly appreciated the FFA Thanksgiving Goodie Bags. Jenna Paul let the members know that starting on Dec. 10, the officers will be putting together AET Work Days every Thursday during study hall. Jaeda told the chapter about the State Officer visit. She stated that the officers put together a workshop for our high school members about leadership during COVID-19. The high schoolers and state officers put together a plan for an activity to boost communication through our FFA chapter.

For new business, Dacy notified everybody that on Dec. 16, the officer team will be traveling from class to class during study hall for the Harvest of the Month. The Beef Weigh-In will be Dec. 28 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Darin Buerkle residence. Any members interested in showing beef must attend the weigh-in or inform the extension office before Dec. 25. Sophia talked to the chapter about the signs at the end of town, which the officer team will be decorating with ornaments. After the meeting, members wrote letters to the elderly citizens in our community and decorated ornaments. The members participated in an intense game of Christmas musical chairs, as well as some rounds of Christmas charades.
