Luella V. Olson died Feb. 6, 2021, in Arizona. She passed four weeks after her husband Dale, who died Jan. 3, 2021. They were married for 74 years and are reunited in Heaven.

Luella was born in 1928 to Edward and Elizabeth Schuetzle Krausz.

Luella graduated from Plevna High School. She married Dale Olson in 1946 and lived in Baker, MT, until 1968 when the family moved to Red Lodge, MT.

Luella was a member of the choir in both Baker and Red Lodge churches and also was a Cub Scout Den Leader. She was a member of Chapter R P.E.O. in Red Lodge and Chapter BZ in Mesa, AZ. She enjoyed hikes with her hiking club in Red Lodge and dancing with the Scandinavian Dancers during the Festival of Nations. When not cooking or baking goodies for her family, Luella tended her ever abundant garden.

While in Mesa, Luella enjoyed golf outings with her friends and playing her organ.

Luella was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grand-mother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and husband Dale.

She is survived by her sister Delphine Gregg; children Brenda (Don) Smith; Ken (Janet Strickland); Pam (Bert) Obert, and Kirk (Brenda Drake); seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery are in charge of arrangements.

A memorial service will be held in Red Lodge later in the summer. Memorials can be sent to an organization of your choice. Cards and acknowledgements can be sent to Brenda Olson Smith, 29583 North Tarragona Drive, Peoria, AZ 85383.
