Carol Joy (Myhre) Gunderson passed away Oct. 22, 2020, under the care of Benefis Senior Care.
She was born on Dec. 18, 1929, in Baker, MT to Clarence and Mary (Zupanik) Myhre. Carol graduated from Puyallup High School in 1947 and attended Tacoma General Hospital School of Nursing for one year, before returning to Baker. She met Roy LaVern Gunderson in Baker, MT and they married on March 25, 1949. They had three children Bradley Leroy, Leondora Marie and Conrad Calvin. Roy and Carol were later divorced.
Carol worked several years at Green Acres Club and then for the Federal Government for 27.5 years, starting as a secretary and retiring as District 1 Loan Officer in Missoula, MT. Her government work took her to Fairfield, Choteau, Wolf Point, Bozeman, Helena and Missoula, MT where Carol retired in 1989 later moving to Great Falls, MT in 2005 until her passing.
Carol is survived by her sons Brad Gunderson of Great Falls, Conrad (Nancy) Gunderson of Choteau, MT, son-in-law Lance Krone of Augusta, MT, eight grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by the father of her children Roy L. Gunderson, her parents Clarence and Mary Myhre, brother Leonard Myhre and daughter Lennie Krone.
Croxford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Committal will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Great Falls, MT.
