Betty S. Neumann, 83, of Northbrook, IL passed away at her apartment surrounded by her children, grandchildren, brother and niece on June 20, 2020. She was born alongside her twin brother, Dan on July 20, 1936 in Plevna, MT to Mike and Wanda Thielen.

Betty graduated from Plevna High School and attended Cosmetology School in Billings, MT. She met and married Charlie Neumann on July 15, 1961 and they made their home in Plevna for the next 25 years. During that time, Betty was a hairdresser in Plevna, as well as Baker. She was also known to waitress from time to time. Betty and Charlie left their childhood home of Plevna and spent 20 years living in Southern California, four years in Tennessee and made Northbrook, IL their home since 2010.

Betty is survived by her son, Paul Daniels (Karen) of West Hills, CA and daughter, Jo DuPre’ (Jeff) of Las Vegas, NV. Betty’s greatest love were her four grandchildren, Chelsea and Paige Daniels; Kendall and Dalton DuPre’. These four young adults brought her endless hours of happiness, pride and laughter. There is a bit of Betty in each one of them. She is survived by her sister, Pearl Leach of Spokane, WA and her twin brother, Dan Thielen of Dickinson, ND; as well as many amazing nieces and nephews.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Neumann; parents, Mike and Wanda Thielen; and brother, Matt Thielen.

A very special Thank You to Betty’s niece, Tracie O’Donnell who remained at Betty’s side until the end. For this - our family will be eternally grateful.
