The February meeting of Willard Homemakers was held at the Baker Senior Center with members wearing red to represent Heart Month. The meeting began with EMT Steve Schweigert presenting a program on “Hands Only CPR” - a measure to help save lives of heart attack victims without the mouth-to-mouth breathing. Members were able to practice the technique on dummies and found out that it takes a lot of strength to do properly. This technique should be learned by everyone. Our local EMS volunteers are to be commended for the job they do.

Following a soup luncheon provided by Lola, the meetings business included the wrap-up of serving lunch at the Winter Ag Series in January. Quilts of Valor were discussed and Janice will do some more research on that. We will help host the Blood Drive snacks for March 24.

The next meeting will be March 3 at 6 p.m. at the Baker Senior Center with Janice Buck as hostess. The program will be Carter and Jessa Gion visiting about their recent participation in the Fort Robinson Outbreak Spiritual Run.
