Dickinson State University (DSU) announced that all offices currently functioning remotely will resume on-campus operations July 6, 2020.
Visitors and campus community members are strongly encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing, following CDC guidelines by washing hands often, avoiding close contact, covering mouths and noses with a cloth face cover when around others, covering coughs and sneezes, cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, and monitoring overall health. However, masks and other personal protective equipment will not be required as DSU resumes on-campus operations.
Individuals who are experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus are asked to not visit the DSU campus.
“All of our employees at DSU who have been working from home have done a great job during this trying time and we are excited to get our team back to campus,” said DSU President Steve Easton. “While keeping health issues in mind, we will be working hard to be ready to welcome our new and returning students to campus in August.”
As the summer progresses, the University’s Emergency Management Team, the Instructional Planning Committee and the President’s Cabinet will continue to collaborate, working on plans for the return of students, staff, and faculty, considering both the health issues and the importance (as expressed by both students and faculty) of face-to-face interaction.
As reopening guidelines are determined by the University, they will be posted to the DSU Updates news blog.
