Summer is off to a great start at O’Fallon Historical Museum! We are happy to once again be sharing local history with the public and are excited to have you join us.
On June 20, Mike Madler was on hand to share with visitors about his new exhibit on the stage road from Miles City, MT to Deadwood, SD. Patrons were able to view the maps, pictures, and trivia he collected over many years and learn more about the stories behind his research. His work contains details about each stop along the route, starting at the current location of the Big Sky Pharmacy in Miles City and continuing to the Black Hills of South Dakota. The Stage Road exhibit has now been temporarily taken down to utilize that space for other content. If you didn’t get a chance to see it, it will return in August for another run, so be sure to stop then.
Beginning Sunday, July 5, the 41st Annual Juried Exhibit Travelling Collection from WaterWorks Art Museum in Miles City will be on display at our facility. Each Sunday afternoon in July there will be cookies and lemonade on hand for guests as you view the artwork from local, regional, and national artists. This exhibit will be in place from July 5-26. Local, regional, and national artists have been juried in to this show titled “Subjective Perspective.” The bright colors and unique portrayal of contrasting textures make this exhibit stand out, so be sure to stop in to see it during the month of July. We are open seven days a week from 8-12 and 1-5, and as always, admission is free.
