Fallon County vaccine doses near the 1,000 mark with 446 fully immunized, according to statistics released Tuesday by the Montana Department of Health.

Throughout the state, more than 310,000 people have received at least one dose of vaccines, with a total of 117,763 considered to be fully immunized.

According to the statistics reported by the state, Fallon County had administered 989 doses by Tuesday. The total included 543 who had received the first of two doses.

The state estimates that there are 2,157 people in the county to be vaccinated.

Fallon zero still

The current COVID statistics still list Fallon County as having zero active cases, while neighboring Wibaux and Prairie counties also have no active cases.

To the south, Carter County has four active cases, while listing 136 as recovered. The county also has had five fatalities since the pandemic hit the state.

By comparison, Yellowstone County has 583 active cases, followed by Flathead (146), Gallatin (114), and Missoula (97) counties.
