National Honor Society raises money for the Vennes Family

On Oct. 17, the Baker Torchlight Chapter of the National Honor Society had the cake raffle during volleyball games against Huntley Project. NHS members decided the club would donate all funds raised to Kyle and Emily Vennes to help defray medical costs they incurred during a month-long stay in a Denver hospital with their newborn son, Kacee. Each NHS member donated at least two items, and additional donations were provided by the BHS Music Department, Baker Schools PTA, Mardi Brown, Kristen Custer and Peggy Vennes. With the help of our compassionate community, NHS was able to raise $371 for the family. The members of NHS would like to thank anyone who donated items to the raffle or bought tickets to help support the Vennes family.
