The Plevna Fire Department held their annual pancake supper last weekend.
On Oct. 12, roughly 450 people came out to the Plevna Community Center to support the fire department for an annual sausage and pancake supper that they have been doing for between 60-70 years.
Running any kind of emergency response operation can be a rather expensive endeavor, and this supper helps the Plevna Fire Department
with basic operating expenses such as supplies and training.
This fundraiser is such a success because of all of the public and community support they receive, as well as the help of other local organizations, such as the Plevna FFA, who came out on Thursday evening to cut the meat for the sausage and again on Saturday to help wait tables.
All of the support and helping hands they received comes with warm appreciation, both from the fire department and the community that they serve.
