In July, a motion to allow households to exceed the limit of three animals per household on a permit basis for 4-H purposes was voted down after Baker residents requested permission to keep rabbits at their residence for their children’s 4-H projects.
During the meeting there were comments in favor of the permits since they could be revoked if necessary. There were additional comments that there are already issues with dogs, cats and rabbits within the city currently.
After discussion and deliberation, Fradenburgh and Zachmann voted in favor, while Ehret and LaCroix voted against it. Mayor Pratt voted against it as well, and the motion failed.
