The weather is cooling and that means that Fall Festival is approaching! Fall Festival will be back downtown this year on First Street West. The event is set for Saturday, Sept. 7.
Fall Festival will begin with local vendors selling their crafts, products and food from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Dustan Davis will be there to add to the atmosphere with music. There will be a lunch of tacos in a bag and hot dogs, sponsored by Fallon Medical Complex, served from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Kids can run off their energy in the inflatables which will be set up from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.!
Don’t miss the duck races! They are set to begin at 2 p.m. on the patio of the Baker Club.
Fall Festival isn’t the only excitement going on that day. Products of the Prairie is also holding a market that day and after enjoying your day outside, you can head down to the livestock barn at the Fallon County Fairgrounds and dance the night away at the Barn Dance and Dinner put on by the Baker Lions Club!
The dinner is set to go from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., so stop down and get your plate of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, and a dinner roll, and don’t forget about cake and ice cream for dessert!
The dance will begin at 7:30 p.m. following dinner and will run until 11:30 p.m, with music by DJ Vaughn Zenko. The cost of the meal and dance is $15.00 for adults, and $7.00 for children thirteen and under. Even if you aren’t hungry, you can still put on your dancing shoes! Tickets to attend the dance only are just $5.00!
