This year Baker and Plevna schools have an increase in enrollment from last year.
Baker has an increase of one student at Lincoln School with 125 students for the school year. Longfellow School has 144 students, the same as it did last year. The 7th and 8th grade have eight more students, while Baker High School has two more students than it did last year.
The enrollment at Plevna Public School has increased as well. As of Aug. 21 they had 104 students, not including preschool. “That number changes daily,” said superintendent Nick Schumacher. They ended last year with 97 students and had lost 12 over the summer. “Last year we started school with I think 86 students. We had kids coming here throughout the year.”
