BHS Head Coach earns Coach of the Year Award

By Aaron Smith

Baker High School head coach Tim Robinson caps off an amazing season with being voted as the coach of the year for girls class B track and field.

This award is voted on by members of the Montana Coach’s Association, which is comprised of coaches in all sports from class C all the way up to AA. For each sport this spring, a recipient of the award was chosen for each class. Each recipient is honored at the MCA Awards Program taking place Aug. 1 at the C. M. Russel High Auditorium in Great Falls.

Coach Robinson, who has been the head track coach for thirteen years here in Baker after taking over the position in 2006, is receiving this award after guiding the Baker girls’ track team to a co-State title with rival Huntley Project in late May. This is the Baker track program’s first state title.

Congratulations to Coach Tim Robinson on being recognized for such an outstanding season as head coach.
