Saturday the Montana High School State Rodeo Finals kicked off the last action-filled day with the Coronation of the 2019-2020 Montana High School State Rodeo Queen. There were five lovely contenders this year, but only one took the crown.
The seventeen-year-old junior Maggie King, daughter of Jessie and Louie King was crowned the Montana High School State Rodeo Queen. Maggie attends Choteau High School and has been participating in rodeo all three years. Along with her successful high school rodeo career, Maggie also maintains her honor roll status as well as being on the National Honors Society while also acting as their treasurer. She enjoys music and keeps busy with FFA, Student Council, React Rodeo, and her church’s praise team. After high school she would like to further her education so she can pursue a career in the medical field.
During college she would like to continue competing in rodeo. Currently Maggie and her horse Junior compete in pole bending, barrel racing, goat tying and breakaway roping.
