Bohle to Compete for Miss Montana Outstanding Teen

GLENDIVE – Alissa Bohle, 17, an upcoming senior at Baker High School is one of 13 young ladies age 14-17 competing for the title of Miss Montana’s Outstanding Teen. She has seen lots of pictures of the week of activites as her mom, Leslie, has been the official photographer for Miss Montana Week since Alissa has been a teen.  The teen competition is held in conjunction with the Miss Montana pageant June 20-22, 7 p.m. nightly at DCHS in Glendive where contestants vy for $37,000 in scholarships. Each teen contestant receives at least $300 scholarship.

Growing up on a ranch, she takes care of her milk cow, chickens and horse, but still has time for track, basketball and band. She is on the honor roll and plans to be an elmentary teacher. If outstanding teen, she hopes to shape teens lives through the value of community service and share her platform, Healthy Body, Healthy Mind. She will be playing the clarinet for her talent. Alissa is obviously good as was awarded first chair of the clarinet section at district honor band.

Alissa is the daughter of Kalyn and Leslie Bohle of Plevna. The week of activities include interviews, photo shoot in Makoshika State Park, community service, meals by local clubs and businesses, a parade, gala and Royal Tea.

Doors open at 6 p.m. nightly at DCHS June 20-22 with Miss Montana’s Outstanding Teen 2019 crowned Friday June 21, and advancing to compete for Miss America’s Outstanding Teen in Orlando in late July. After the show, a gala with food and dance sponsored by Cape Air celebrates the teen coronation at the EPEC. The Show Us Your Shoes Parade is 1 p.m. Friday and the Royal Tea is Saturday at 1 p.m. with Miss Montana contestants modeling fashions from the VINT. Miss Montana Competition continues Saturday, June 22 at 7 p.m. culminating with the crowning of Miss Montana 2019 and a $5,100 scholarship.
