The month of June marks the beginning of the summer season and it’s supposed to be bringing the sunshine with it. This Saturday on June 1, you can join the Classic Cruisers Car Club to start of the summer and welcome the warm weather at the 20th Annual Baker Car Show & Shine, which will be held in downtown Baker at the Bank of Baker parking lot and Prairie Rose Classics.
In the past, the Show & Shine was held at the Fallon Medical Complex and Baker Lake Gazebo, but it moved recently so those who attend can have easier access to the businesses that downtown Baker has to offer. When this car show began in 1999 it was a small group of local car lovers and a few members from the Chamber of Commerce.
As the car show grew, so did the amount of people involved with this event. In 2005 the Classic Cruisers Car Club was created and now has over twenty members. The car show sees vehicles from all over. People have traveled from Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and even Canada in the past to attend Baker’s Show & Shine.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and go until 11 a.m. The show will be open to the public from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and the cash drawings will follow that, beginning at 3 p.m.
