A Day of Celebration for Fallon County seniors

The 2019 Plevna School Graduation was held May 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Plevna School Gymnasium. The Plevna Band played Pomp and Circumstance as the two graduates, Cole Edgell and Jessica Paul walked in with their parents. Mr. Schumacher welcomed everyone, followed by Cole Edgell leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Jessica Paul then gave an Invocation.

The Keynote Speaker was Pastor Eddie Smith from the Ismay Church; with a message for the graduates to count their blessing, having had the opportunity to grow up in a small rural community that treats you like a family. Jessica Paul worked hard on applying for many Scholarships and was rewarded as Ms. Boyer announced the Scholarships that Jessica had won. Congratulations!

The eighth grade then received their certificates from Trustee Lisa Rieger. Jessica Paul then shared her Valedictorian Speech in which she talked about graduation being a goodbye to their past, a moment not to be forgotten, and a beginning to their future.  Next, the Class of 2019 shared a few memories through the years with a video. The graduates then presented their parents with flowers to honor and thank them for all their help and support through the years, after which Jessica Paul received a commemoration for achieving the status of Valedictorian for the Class of 2019. Trustee Lisa Rieger then presented the seniors with their diplomas, after which Mr. Schumacher addressed the graduates with some words of wisdom and then presented the Plevna Graduating Class of 2019 as they moved their tassels from the right to the left. Congratulation graduates.
