April 3, the Plevna FFA Chapter with adviser, Mr. Isaacs, and chaperone, Lisa Dulin, journeyed to Bozeman for the 89th State FFA Convention. That afternoon Jesse Isaacs competed in Senior Creed and Wyatt Isaacs competed in Junior Creed. Following the Creed competitions, members attended the Opening Session, where Jenna Paul gave a speech on behalf of the FCCLA as the State Vice President of Membership. Members also listened to the keynote speaker, A’ric Jackson, who taught them how to break down their box and be themselves.
FFA members headed to the fairgrounds Thursday to compete in Farm Business Management, Livestock Judging, and Ag Sales. Members who were not competing in these competitions attended the Day of Service or signed up for Courtesy Corp. The Day of Service was to lend a hand at the Gallatin Valley Food Bank, while the Courtesy Corp. involved FFA members helping with the competitions. On Friday, members competed in Mechanics, Agronomy, and Conduct of Chapter Meetings. Members who were not competing in these competitions had another opportunity to help with Courtesy Corp.
