Baker Senior Citizens Center to hold Afternoon at the Movies

By Angel Wyrwas

We all enjoy the experience of watching movies and love the pleasures they bring. They captivate us with their imaginary worlds brought to life. Once again, the Baker Senior Center is showing some of the movies that have been recommended by our members.

Movies are shown on the last Thursday of the month at 2 p.m. “If we have good attendance and interest,” said Gini Knipfer, “we may increase movie afternoons to twice a month.” This month’s showing is Irving Berlin’s “Easter Parade” starring Judy Garland and Fred Astaire.

There is no charge to attend. Popcorn and an assortment of movie snacks are provided in a theater-like atmosphere.  Join us on April 25 for the monthly matinee.
