Recently students in kindergarten were tasked with the fun activity of making butter. This project came about as the class was learning about the three states of matter and how the states can change. The students were asked if they thought they could change a liquid to a solid simply by shaking it and some were skeptical at first. However, shaking jars of cream for a while did yield butter. The students then tried their homemade butter on some crackers. Even though it was tiring to shake the jar for so long, the students had a great time learning about matter!
