Petition created to make Fallon County a sanctuary for the unborn

Recently there have been legislative measures taken to expand abortion laws, a subject that JK Kinsey and his mother, Sandra Kinsey, avidly advocate against. “When it came to the life of the unborn and how they can do away with it, it’s going to hit me,” said Sandra. “We were thinking that there’s got to be something that has to be done.”

Kinsey and his mother discovered that in the state of New Mexico, 33 counties decided to become “sanctuary counties” that would advocate and protect the unborn. They took it into their own hands to act, and they developed a petition to be signed by residents of Fallon County to make it the first county in Montana to do this, hoping that others in Montana will follow suit. “It is already working! We started this petition on Wednesday, March 6 and by Thursday, March 7 individuals from Custer County, Montana reached out and asked how they can get this resolution passed in their county,” Kinsey said.

The petition is available at several local churches and can also be found online at Kinsey encourages people to reach out to either him or his mother if they have any questions about the petition.

They will be presenting the petition to the Fallon County Commission on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the Fallon County Courthouse. The public is welcomed and encouraged to attend.
