The Fallon County Fair Board hosted a new interactive event last weekend at the Exhibit Hall: Escape Rooms.

The Escape Rooms ran on both Saturday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The fair board wanted to offer a different event since there was not a Bulls, Broncs, and Barrels event this winter. “We had a full house on both Saturday and Sunday, so for a first-time event it went really well,” said Shyla Hadley, manager of the Fallon County Fairgrounds.

Escape Rooms are essentially rooms that you pay to get locked in. This immersive live adventure challenges you to complete your mission before the time runs out. There were three different themes featured including Patient Zero, Boom and Snow Globe. They originally planned to have four themes, but they ran into problems getting the supplies for the fourth theme in time for the event.

Hadley is unsure whether the fair board will bring this event back again next year, but residents who enjoyed the event are hopeful that it will be.
