GATE 41st Annual Event

February 8 and 9, 2019 marks the upcoming Glendive Agri-Trade Expo at the EPEC (Eastern Plains Events Center) in Glendive, Mont. We hope you will join us as we celebrate our agricultural industry with our neighbors, friends and the companies we do business with.

Informative seminars will be held Friday. Doors open 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Northern AgNetwork and Jon Arneson with Voices of Montana and KXGN will be recording live.

10 – 11 a.m. – Ag & the IRS – questions and answers with Mary Ann, CHMS Accounting.

11 a.m. – noon – Workers Protections Standards and Understanding Pesticide Product Labels by Diana DeYoung, Montana Department of Agriculture.

1 – 2 p.m. – “Tale of Two Aquifers: From Artesian Stock Water in the Foxhills to Irrigation Supplies in the West Crane” by Jon Reiten and Kevin Chandler, Montana Bureau of Mines.

2 – 3 p.m. – Research Updates on Weeds, Diseases, and Insects from USDA Ag Research Service

3 – 4 p.m. – Keeping The Farm In The Family by Ed Haugen, Thrivent Financial.

Gateway CowBelles will be serving lunch all day.

A raffle will also be held that will have two impressive firearms and one very impressive bronze as prizes. Get the tickets from any GATE member or from the Chamber of Commerce or purchase during GATE.

This 41st Annual event is proving to be exceptional with vendors coming from multiple states and two countries.

Whether your interest is in animal genetics; seed stock and crop varieties; farm safety or your interest is in new or used equipment, this is the place to gather and be kept abreast of new ideas – and the food provided by the Glendive Cowbelles is always a hit.
