The Vitalant Blood drive was held on Tuesday, Jan. 15.
Between the scheduled appointments and walk-ins we had a very good turnout and reached over our goal with 53 blood products given.
Hemoglobin is a protein molecule in red blood cells that carries oxygen from the lungs to the body’s tissues and returns carbon dioxide from the tissues to the lungs. Healthy hemoglobin levels are important for blood donors an recipients and are checked at each blood donation.
The refreshments were furnished by Baker Furniture and the Bank of Baker.
The next scheduled blood drive will be Wednesday, March 27.
