Plevna HS Basketball

The Plevna Cougars played Broadus Dec. 11 at home. Boys JV played a hard first game with a final score of Plevna 30/Broadus 52. Cooper Peterson put in 14 points, Seth Carroll had 9 points, and Bret Edgell added 4 points, while Cole Edgell tipped in 3 points. Seth Carroll led in rebounds with 11.

Following the boys’ JV game was the Plevna Lady Cougar’s game against the Broadus Hawks. The final score was Plevna 23/Broadus 31. Chloe Tudor put in 16 points, Trinity Rieger added 3 points, while Jessica Paul and Dacy Buerkle both supplemented the score with 2 points each.

On Dec. 14, Plevna Cougars played Jordan. The JV only had four players but Jordan was willing to play four on four. The boys lost 19 to 29. Seth Carroll scored 10 points and had 5 rebounds. Cole Edgell scored 4 points and had 2 rebounds, Cooper Peterson scored 3 points and had 1 rebound, and Nick Buerkle scored 2 points.

The girls Varsity team lost 22 to 42. Chloe Tudor put up 11 points. Dacy Buerkle, Jenna Paul, and Trinity Rieger each scored 3 points, and Lexi Wills put 2 points on the board.

On Dec. 17 Plevna Cougars took on the Terry Terriers. The JV boys lost 24 to 59. Cooper Peterson had 7 points. Hadyn Mellon, Bret Edgell, and Cole Edgell each added 5 points to the score.

The Lady Cougars Varsity Team won 44 to 29. Chloe Tudor lead the team with 22 points, Jenna Paul had 11, Lexi Wills scored 6, and Trinity Rieger with 5 points. Jenna Paul led rebounds with 12.
