Despite the cold weather that blew in on the last day of November, the first weekend of December was still a busy one for many who have made a holiday tradition out of local events and activities.
On Dec. 1, a crowd gathered at the Community Center in Marmarth for Santa Claus Days to enjoy a chili feed, games, vendors, and a visit from Santa. With the ice packed roads, the crowd this year was significantly smaller than they’ve seen in previous years.
Later that night the Friends of FMC Foundation held their 60th annual Fantasy Food Fair in Baker. They had 100 guests that enjoyed a catered five course meal, that featured wine and beer from Wyoming, served by thirty of the Baker High School music students. They also entertained the crowd with their musical performance. In exchange for the student’s wonderful service and performance, a donation was made to help fund their Chicago trip later this year. Submitted photos for Fantasy Food Fair.
