Christmas Wishes program enters fifteenth year

By Darby Martin

If you’re looking for a way to give back to the community this holiday season, the Recreation Department will be sponsoring Christmas Wishes again this year, for the 15th season.

The program aims to help families in Fallon County whom may otherwise struggle to provide gifts for their children this Christmas season. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals help these Christmas elves by providing monetary donations.

The Recreation Department hoped have the majority of request forms by Nov. 20 in order to take advantage of Thanksgiving weekend sales; forms must be received as soon as possible in order to be able to fulfill wishes. The group believes every family should have a happy and festive Christmas Day.

Monetary donations to the Christmas Wishes program may be made to the Christmas Wishes account at the Bank of Baker anytime before Christmas. They prefer monetary donations, and do all shopping themselves in order to help preserve anonymity of each child.

The program also accepts gift-wrapping supplies, which may be dropped off at the Recreation Department in the library basement.

For more information on how to donate or participate in the program, contact the Recreation department at 406-778-3152 or
