Tamara “Tammy” Moore, 60, Black Hawk, S.D., died Sept. 24, 2018 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House.
She was born on June 1, 1958 to Ben and Mae (Pratt) Post in Miles City, Mont. and grew up in Baker, Mont. She graduated from Baker High School in 1976.
Tammy married Kelly Moore in Baker on Nov. 26, 1977. They lived south of Baker on the family farm near Willard, Mont.
She and Kelly moved to Rapid City in 1989. Tammy worked at Jolly Lane Floral, designing arrangements, thoroughly enjoying her time there. Later, she went to work for Green Tree then the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, finally she worked at the South Dakota Board of Technical Professions. She was very involved with her church, enjoyed baking and arranging flowers. Her passion, however, was her granddaughter Bethany.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Kelly, Black Hawk, S.D., her son, Daniel Moore, Pueblo, Colo., her daughter Kristina (Edward) Langworthy, Box Elder, S.D., her granddaughter, Bethany, her brother, Doug (Julie) Post, Baker, Mont. and her nieces; Kalli (Ryan) Schmeltzer, Baker, Mont. and Joy (Zach) Kinsey, Bowman, N.D.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her step mother, Iva and her sister, Lynn Soriede.
A memorial will be established to the Cornerstone Mission.
