A funeral service for Ruger James Custer, infant son of Jason and Holly Custer of Baker, was held Nov. 20, 2012 at the American Lutheran Church in Baker. Interment was in the family lot in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker.
Ruger was still born Nov. 12, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Care in Dickinson, N.D. Ruger would have joined his siblings, Hawken Michel, Kimber Leigh AireLynn, and Colt Marshall John in their home in Baker along with parents.
He is survived by his parents, Jason and Holly Custer; his brothers and sister, Hawken, Colt and Kimber of Baker; maternal grandparents Howard and MayLynn Hall, paternal grandparents John and Claire Custer, all of Baker; maternal great-grandmother Cora Verhulst of Spearfish, S.D., and paternal great-grandparents Fritz and Ruby Goerndt of Baker; three aunts, Kristen Custer, Shilo Hall, and KaLynn Hall; numerous great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ruger was preceded in death by his great-grandma and great-grandpa Hall, great-grandpa Verhulst, great-grandma Custer and great-grandpa Kerwin.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Ruger’s honor as been set up at the Bank of Baker.
