Beatrice Knutson, 92, of Billings went to be with her Lord and Saviour Nov. 4, 2012 in her home surrounded by family.

The daughter of Hans and Albina Tronstad, Beatrice was born Nov. 16, 1919, in Curtiss, Wis., but was raised and educated in Webster. At age 13 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour.

Sept. 10, 1943, she married Gerald Knutson in Baker. They farmed and ranched near Webster until 1964. In 1974 they moved to Billings. Her husband preceded her in death Apr. 13, 1974.

Family was very important to her. Always quick to smile and easy to laugh, she was her grandkids’ biggest fan. She baked wonderful caramel rolls and enjoyed watching birds, painting, crocheting, and quilting. We are so thankful she had a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Survivors include her children, Judy (Wayne) Brownson, Jerry (Rebecca) Knutson, Rebecca (Paul) Scheie, all of Billings, and Deborah (Steve) Ottaviano of Tanzania; grandchildren, Jane (Eddie) Frank, Scott (Carla) Brownson, David (Karlyn) Knutson, Craig (Lisa) Knutson, Kathleen Knutson, Eric (Angela) Scheie, Heidi (Rev. Timothy) Coupe, Michelle Scheie, Angela (Mark) Gizzo, Anthony (Emily) Ottaviano, and Frank Ottaviano; and ten great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by three siblings, Evelyn Shiskowsky, Alvin Tronstad, and Harold Tronstad; also brothers Richard (Fern) Tronstad and Floyd (Irene) Tronstad; sister Gladys (Dwight) Wicker; and sister-in-law, Mavis Tronstad.

Funeral services were held Nov. 10 at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary with interment in Mountview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Clydehurst Christian Ranch, Wycliffe Bible Translators, or First Baptist Church Media Ministry, Laurel.

Remembrances may be shared with the family by visiting www.michelottisawyers.com.
