The Baker High School Torchlight Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted three new members on Wednesday, March 29. Jayden Allen (son of Travis and Keli Allen), Lilly Hanson (daughter of Kristopher and Meghann Hanson), and Hunter Mashak (son of Travis and Emily Mashak) were inducted into the society. Continuing members of the society are: Keegan Kary (President), Emalee Thurlow (Vice President), Amber Durden (Secretary), Tannon Dukart (Treasurer), Aaron Smith (Student Council Representative), Melissa Breitbach (Alternative Student Council Representative), Katelynn Afrank, Taylyn Dukart, Anna Espeland, Luke Gonsioroski, and Madison Reddick. National Honor Society is a student organization devoted to scholarship, service, leadership and character. Community service projects they have recently been involved with include: offering free tutoring services for students grades 7-12, helping with set-up and clean-up for the school book fairs, reading to students at Lincoln Elementary School, and cleaning litter from a section of highway. The Torchlight Chapter is currently in the process of adopting a two mile section of highway as part of the Montana Department of Transportation “Adopt a Highway” program.
