McGonigal gymnasium was abuzz as the Xi Alpha Nu sponsored Christmas Bazaar got underway on Nov. 20.

The gym floor was crowded as 74 vendors from as far away as Bismarck and Billings  displayed their goods. The bazaar was so well attended that vendors spilled out into the school foyer and also into the food court area.

As mothers shopped for Christmas presents, their children were able to create some fun crafts over in ‘Kids Corner’. This fun distraction was sponsored by the Baker Recreation Department. Another kid friendly attraction, which was new this year, was a bounce house out on the front lawn.

The shoppers were in for a real treat as the variety of merchandise far surpassed the offerings at last year’s bazaar.

From repurposed home décor items, Christmas wreaths and clothing items to jars of jelly, pies and other baked goods, it was a holiday extravaganza.

Many attendees were seen purchasing Christmas cookies, home made specialty breads and candy to freeze for the upcoming holiday seasons.

After a busy midmorning-shopping spree, attendees were able to sit down and enjoy a bite to eat as Close-up students served a hearty lunch to the hungry holiday shoppers.
