Extension summer fun series

The Fallon/Carter County Extension Office will be offering several workshops this summer. These workshops will be open to anyone who would like to attend but will be geared towards the 4-H age group.

The first workshop will be held June 25 at the Ekalaka High School lunch room starting at 10 a.m. This workshop is titled “Learn How to Fly, Fly Fish that is”. Howard Cooper of Lewistown will be instructing the attendees on how to make their own fly. Each participant will be able to take their own fly home. Other instructors will include Roy, Kayla and Clint Olsen. These instructors will help attendees learn how to make the proper knots required for fly fishing and instruct them on the proper technique to cast their lines. Please contact the Fallon/Carter Extension Office to RSVP for this event by June 17, 2016.

The other workshops that will be offered this summer include, “Bring on the Cake, Let’s Decorate” July 8 at the Ekalaka Events Center; “History Hike” July 9, Starvation Butte Carter County; and “Infinity and Beyond” July 22 at the Ekalaka Event Center.
